One person was rescued by the smack Florence and Louise , five peeple were rescued by the smack George Killick , and five people were rescued by the smack Sir Stafford Northcote (all United Kingdom ). The schooner was wrecked on Black Ledge , at Bar Harbor, Maine . Three crew were drowned trying to reach Black Ledge. The rest of her crew made it to the ledge, and were rescued on 9 March.[ 11]
