The ship was wrecked on the North Rock, near Portaferry , County Down . All 209 passengers and 41 crew survived and taken ashore in fishing boats . They were landed at Clougher .[ 23] She was on a voyage from Glasgow , Renfrewshire to New Zealand.[ 24]
