Direktur Jenderal Organisasi Perdagangan Dunia

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Managing Director, World Bank

Direktur Jenderal Organisasi Perdagangan Dunia bertanggung jawab untuk mengawasi fungsi administratif dari Organisasi Perdagangan Dunia (WTO). Karena keputusan Organisasi Perdagangan Dunia dibuat oleh anggota (baik melalui Konferensi Tingkat Menteri ataupun melalui Dewan Umum), Direktur Jenderal hanya memiliki sedikit kekuasaan yang terkait dengan masalah kebijakan WTO. Direktur Jenderal bertugas mengawasi sekretariat-sekretariat WTO, yang terdiri dari kurang lebih 700 staff, dan jabatannya ini ditunjuk oleh anggota WTO, dengan masa jabatan 4 tahun.[1]

Direktur Jenderal WTO terpilih adalah Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala dari Nigeria, menggantikan Roberto Azevêdo mulai tanggal 1 Maret 2021.[2]
