Sigrún Edda Björnsdóttir

Sigrún Edda Björnsdóttir (f. 30. ágúst 1958) er íslensk leikkona og leikstjóri.

Foreldrar Sigrúnar Eddu eru Guðrún Ásmundsdóttir (f. 1935) leikkona og Björn Björnsson (1933-2008) flugvirki. Sigrún Edda á tvö börn og maki hennar er Axel Hallkell Jóhannesson leikmyndahönnuður.

Sigrún Edda útskrifaðist sem leikari frá Leiklistarskóla Íslands árið 1981. Hún var leikari í Þjóðleikhúsinu frá 1981-1985 og hjá Alþýðuleikhúsinu 1982-1984. Hún hefur verið fastráðin hjá Leikfélagi Reykjavíkur 1981-1982, 1985-1996 og frá 1998.[1] Einnig hefur hún tekið þátt í sýningum Vesturports og Íslenska dansflokksins.[2]

Hún hefur leikið í fjölda sjónvarpsþátta, sjónvarpsleikrita, útvarpsleikrita og kvikmynda og leikstýrt á sviði, í útvarpi og sjónvarpi auk þess sem hún hefur skrifað handrit fyrir sjónvarp. Hún er höfundur barnabókarinnar Með Bólu í bæjarferð (2001) og sjónvarpsþáttanna Bóla (1991-2001).[1]

Sigrún Edda hefur þrisvar sinnum hlotið Grímuverðlaunin fyrir leik í aðalhlutverki[2] og í janúar árið 2021 var hún sæmd riddarakrossi Hinnar íslensku fálkaorðu.
