Brad Little Republican
The 2022 Idaho gubernatorial election was held on November 8 to elect the next governor of Idaho. Incumbent Brad Little, first elected in 2018, was re-elected for a second term, the eighth consecutive win by a Republican.
The statewide primary was held on May 17; Little defeated incumbent lieutenant governor Janice McGeachin in the Republican primary, while Stephen Heidt won the Democratic primary.[1] Little convincingly won the general election, but there was a relatively strong performance by far-right independent candidate Ammon Bundy, who finished roughly three points behind Heidt, and ahead of Heidt in 34 of Idaho's 44 counties.
Bundy's share of the vote was the best non-major party performance or the best outside both major parties performance since 1926.[2] This was the worst Democratic performance since 1924, and one of only three times since then where the Democratic candidate failed to achieve 30% of the vote.
Shelby Rognstad received 6,736 votes/21.2%. David Reilly received 21 votes/0.07%.
Dr. Ryan Cole received 25 votes/6.7%.

In Idaho, Janice McGeachin has fashioned herself in Trump's image. His endorsement could elevate her standing in governor's race
About a dozen people attended the event, including former Democratic gubernatorial candidate A.J. Balukoff, who is serving as Rognstad's campaign treasurer.
Former Democratic Congressmen Larry LaRocco and Walt Minnick were also there offering their support.
On March 17th Dr. Cole filed with the Secretary of State to be a Write-in candidate for Governor on the Constitution Party of Idaho ballot, triggering our first primary election since 2016.
Boise pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole also did not appear on the unofficial list posted on sos.idaho.gov as of 8:40 pm Friday night. Cole told Idaho Dispatch on Friday he was running for governor as a Constitution Party candidate. According to public records, Cole is an unaffiliated voter.
I will be running for Lt. Governor of Idaho in 2022 with the Constitution Party. I had planned on running for Governor but Ammon Bundy, who I support for Governor, switched from Republican to Independent in February causing me to file for Lt. Governor so voters can vote for Ammon for Governor and myself for Lt. Governor in November 2022.
Supporting Ammon Bundy's run for office, country singer Collin Raye will perform Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Stoney's Road House, 1050 Cascade Road, in the redeveloped Boise Cascade Mill complex. This is a "Keep Idaho IDAHO concert," a press release explains. It is "a private event hosted by the Ammon Bundy for Governor campaign, open to the public."
