1993年の広島東洋カープ（1993ねんのひろしまとうようカープ）では、1993年における広島東洋カープの動向をまとめる。

この年の広島東洋カープは、山本浩二監督の5年目のシーズンである。

概要

前年のBクラスから巻き返しを図るチームは開幕カードで前年優勝のヤクルトに連勝するなど球団初の開幕6連勝と好スタートを切り、5月3日時点で2位中日に4ゲーム差を付け首位を快走。ところが、そこから5連敗を2度喫し首位から陥落、その後は5割前後を行き来しながら投手陣の不振を打撃陣がカバーする形でAクラスを維持。後半戦に入ると投壊をカバーしていた打撃陣が揃って不振に陥るようになり、8月31日からよもやの12連敗で最下位に転落。連敗脱出後も10月21日から26イニング連続無得点で閉幕するなどの低迷が続き、最終的に首位ヤクルトと27ゲーム差の最下位でシーズンを終了した。打線はこの年本塁打王の江藤智、打率2位の前田智徳が活躍した一方で投手陣は佐々岡真司が5勝17敗と大きく負け越すなど2ケタ勝利ゼロ、チーム防御率最下位と不振で結局19年ぶりの最下位に沈み、山本監督は12連敗の翌日の9月16日に辞任を発表した[2]。この年のサヨナラ負け14回は日本プロ野球ワーストタイ記録である。
