1956年の広島カープでは、1956年シーズンについての広島カープの動向についてまとめる。

この年の広島カープは、白石勝巳選手兼任監督の4年目のシーズンである。

概要

4年連続のシーズン4位だったこともあり、チームは「今年こそAクラス」を目標としてシーズンが開幕。チームは3月終了時点で首位の阪神から3ゲーム差の4位と健闘するが、白石監督の決意とは裏腹に5月以降チームは開幕から借金を重ねて最下位に転落し、球団創設2年目の1951年以来となる最下位に入るのではないかと予想された。それでも6月以降は盛り返すものの、大洋が2.5ゲーム差で肉薄するなど苦しい戦いが続いた。最後は大洋との最下位争いに勝ったものの優勝の巨人に37ゲームも離され、4位の国鉄には21ゲームも離されて終始低迷した。結局、借金が前年から大幅に増えて37となり5位に転落した。
