1977年の日本ハムファイターズ（1977ねんのにっぽんハムファイターズ）では、1977年の日本ハムファイターズの動向をまとめる。

このシーズンの日本ハムファイターズは、大沢啓二監督の2年目のシーズンである。

概要

3年ぶりに最下位を脱出したこともあり、大沢監督は「今年こそシーズンを勝ち越す」と宣言し、投手陣はダブル高橋（高橋一三・高橋直樹）に野村収、さらに広島からトレードで佐伯和司が加入した。前期は4位ながら勝ち越し、後期以降のAクラス入りが期待されたが後期に入ると負けが込むようになり、勝ち越しどころか借金3の5位で終了した。結局、高橋直が17勝(17敗)を挙げた以外は高橋一・佐伯がそれぞれ6勝、野村が5勝と期待外れに終わる。打撃陣は前年同様ウォルター・ウィリアムスとボビー・ミッチェルの外国人コンビが打線を引っ張り、特にミッチェルは最後までロッテのレロン・リーと本塁打王を争う活躍を見せた。他にも3割をマークした富田勝、正捕手・加藤俊夫のレギュラー陣、若手の岡持和彦が一定の成績をあげたが、それ以外の選手が低調に終わった。シーズン終了後、大沢監督は南海から柏原純一をトレードで獲得し、打線の強化を図ることになる。チームは前年と同じ順位ながらも借金を大きく減らし、1ケタにとどめたことが翌1978年のAクラス入りにつながった。この年3連覇の阪急には12勝12敗2分と健闘したが、4位の近鉄には8勝15敗3分と大きく負け越してしまい、勝率5割はならなかった。
