מגפת הקורונה, בה חלו רבים במחלת נגיף הקורונה בבחריין, התפשטה אל המדינה בסוף ינואר 2020.

רקע

ערך מורחב – מגפת הקורונה

ב-12 בינואר 2020 אישר ארגון הבריאות העולמי (WHO) כי נגיף הקורונה החדש הוא הגורם למחלת נשימה בקרב אנשים בעיר ווהאן, מחוז חוביי, סין, אשר דווח בפני ארגון הבריאות העולמי ב-31 בדצמבר 2019.[2][3]

שיעור התמותה במקרה של מגפת הקורונה היה נמוך בהרבה ממגפת הסארס שהתפרצה בשנת 2003 בסין,[4][5] אך ההדבקה מאדם לאדם היא גדולה ומשמעותית המשפיע בצורה מכרעת על מספר מקרי מוות באופן משמעותי.[4][6]

התפשטות המגפה

ב-31 בינואר הודיעה בחריין כי היא מבקשת מאזרחיה להימנע מלטוס לסין עקב התפרצות נגיף הקורונה במדינה.[7]

ב-24 בפברואר הודיעה בחריין על מקרה ראשון של אדם שאובחן כחולה בנגיף הקורונה. לפי משרד הבריאות הבחרייני מדובר באזרח המדינה אשר חזר מאיראן.[8][9]

באותו יום, הודיעה בחריין על השהיית כל הטיסות הנכנסות מנמל התעופה הבינלאומי דובאי ושארג'ה למשך 48 שעות עקב התפשטות נגיף הקורונה.[10][11]

ב-26 בפברואר הודיעה בחריין על סגירת כל בתי הספר והמשתלות ברחבי המדינה.[12]

ב-16 במרץ הודיעה בחריין על מקרה מוות ראשון מנגיף הקורונה. הקורבן, היא אישה בת 65 אזרחית המדינה אשר חזרה למדינה מאיראן.[13]

באותו יום, הודיעה חברת התעופה של בחריין, גולף אייר כי היא תבצע טיסות למספר יעדים מעטים בעולם ביניהן: אבו דאבי, דובאי, מוסקאט, לונדון, פריז, פרנקפורט, קהיר, איסטנבול, מומבאי, ניו דלהי, קוצ'ין, קראצ'י ומנילה.[14]

ב-17 במרץ הודיעה בחריין על סגירת בתי הקולנוע למשך חודש, שירותי המסעדות תוגבלנה לשירותי טייק-אווי ומשלוחים, והודיעה כי כל הנכנסים בשערי המדינה יצטרכו לשהות בבידוד למשך שבועיים.

בנוסף על כך, דווח כי חברת התעופה הערבית, פליי דובאי הודיעה על השהיית טיסותיה אל בחריין וממנה עד 31 במרץ.[15]

ב-23 במרץ הודיעה בחריין על סגירת כל המסגדים ברחבי המדינה.[16]

ב-25 במרץ הודיעה בחריין על סגירת כל בתי העסק הלא-חיוניים ברחבי המדינה החל מ-26 במרץ למעט סופרמרקטים, חנויות פארם, מאפיות, בנקים, חנויות קרח והיפרמרקטים שיישארו פתוחים.[17]

ב-6 באפריל דווח כי מנהיגי הקהילה ההודית בבחריין דוחפים את השלטונות במדינה להתיר לטיסות מטען להחזיר גופות למולדתם.[18]
