59 eskadra towarzysząca – pododdział lotnictwa Wojska Polskiego w II Rzeczypospolitej.

Godłem eskadry była zielono-czarna mucha na tle białego równoramiennego krzyża^[1].

Formowanie i zmiany organizacyjne

Eskadra sformowana została na podstawie rozkazu L.dz. 4359/tj. Departamentu Dowodzenia Ogólnego MSWojsk. z 19 lipca 1937, w składzie IV dywizjonu towarzyszącego 5 pułku lotniczego w Lidzie. Personel jednostki rekrutował się ze zlikwidowanych trzecich plutonów w 53 i 56 eskadrach towarzyszących. Pododdział uzbrojony był w samoloty Lublin R-XIII C i D.

W sierpniu 1939, z chwilą zarządzenia mobilizacji alarmowej, eskadra została rozformowana, a jej personel wcielony do 53 i 56 eskadry obserwacyjnej.

Uwagi

↑ Ustawa z dnia 9 kwietnia 1938 roku o powszechnym obowiązku obrony (Dz.U. z 1938 r. nr 25, poz. 220). W skład Sił Zbrojnych II RP wchodziły wojska lądowe nazywane ówcześnie wojskiem i Marynarka Wojenna. Wojsko składało się z jednostek organizacyjnych wojska stałego i jednostek organizacyjnych Obrony Narodowej, a także jednostek organizacyjnych Korpusu Ochrony Pogranicza.
↑ Wykaz zawiera obsadę jednostki według stanu bezpośrednio przed rozpoczęciem mobilizacji pierwszych oddziałów Wojska Polskiego w dniu 23 marca 1939, ale już po przeprowadzeniu ostatnich awansów ogłoszonych z datą 19 marca 1939^[4].
