Frederik Willem de Klerk

Laureat Nobel Frederik Willem de Klerk ( Johannesburg, 18 de març de 1936 – Lo Cap 11 de novembre de 2021 ) foguèt un òme politic sud-african que foguèt president del govèrn sud-african entre agost de 1989 e mai de 1994. En 1993 li foguèt atribuit lo Prèmi Nobel de la Patz conjuntament amb Nelson Mandela.

Venent d'una familha bòer amb una fòrta tradicion politica, foguèt licenciat en dreit e 1958. Posteriorament fondèt un estudi d'avocats a Vereeniging e, en 1972 foguèt elegit deputat al Parlament pel Partit Nacional de Sud-Africa. Durant lo ans seguents ocuparà divèrsas foncions ministerialas: entre 1979 e 1982, la de las Minas e de l'Energia; entre 1982 e 1985, la de l'Interior; e entre 1984 e 1989, la dels Afars Exteriors.

En aqueste darrièr an remplacèt Pieter Willem Botha a la presidéncia del govèrn, pòst a partir del qual començarà una politica de reformas encaminada a l'abandon de l'apartheid. Abroguèt las leis segregacionistas, e faguèt desliurar los presonièrs politics negres, que entre eles i aviá Nelson Mandela, legalizèt lo Congrès Nacional African (CNA) e dotèt lo país d'una nòva Constitucion.
