Rakel Seweriin (1906–1995, født Solberg) var en norsk politiker (Ap).[3] Hun var sosialminister i 2 år 1953–55 (og med det en av de første kvinnelige statsrådene i Norge), og stortingsrepresentant i seks perioder fra 1945 til 1969.

Under felttoget i Norge i 1940 deltok hun som sykepleier ved Infanteriregiment nr.4 (IR 4) i kampene i Gausdal. Hun var også en av initiativtagerne til utgivelsen av den illegale avisen Fri Fagbevegelse i 1940.

Kronprinsesse Märtha tok sammen med Claudia Olsen, Rakel Seweriin og statsminister Einar Gerhardsen initiativet til samarbeidsorganet Kvinners Frivillige Beredskap som ble stiftet 9. april 1951. Dette hadde som formål å styrke landets evne til å stå i mot katastrofer, kriser og krig, og stimulere kvinnene og deres organisasjoner til innsats i sivilt beredskap og forsvar – totalforsvaret.

Fra 1972 til 1973 var hun formann i Oslo Arbeidersamfunn.

Han var gift med legen Alf Seweriin. Rakel Seweriin har fått en vei i Eidsfoss, Holmestrand oppkalt etter seg.

Fra november 1953 til januar 1955 var hun statsråd og sjef for Sosial- og helsedepartementet i Oscar Torps regjering, og fra januar til 1. august 1955 hadde hun den samme posisjonen i Einar Gerhardsens tredje regjering.
