伊是名島（いぜなじま）は、日本の南西諸島、沖縄本島北西部の伊平屋伊是名諸島に属する島である。沖縄県島尻郡伊是名村の主島。

地理

伊是名村で唯一の有人島。面積は14.12km2で[1]、近接する伊平屋島よりも標高は低く、海岸に面して平坦な地形が広がっている[2]。島内最高峰は大野山（うふやま、別名・チジン山）の標高119.9メートル。かつては屋ノ下島と呼ばれる島が存在したが、日本復帰後の埋め立てと干拓により伊是名島と陸続きになり、その後伊是名場外離着陸場が建設された。

島の南東部の東方沖約500メートルに降神島がある。

  • アテークサシ - 北東部の東方沖約1.5キロメートル。

風土

伊平屋島にはハブが生息しているのに対し、伊是名島にはハブが生息しておらず、仲田港には「ようこそ ハブのいない伊是名島へ」と書かれた看板が設置されている[5]。

なお、歴史的には「伊是那島」と呼ばれた事がある（鹿児島藩による明治3年頃の人口統計より）。
