Indus ou Indio[1] é unha constelación austral que se supón que representa a un indio americano. Epsilon Indi é unha das estrelas máis próximas á Terra, aproximadamente 11,82 anos luz.

Historia

É unha das 12 constelacións creadas por Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser e Frederick de Houtman entre os anos de 1595 e 1597, e a súa primeira aparición é no libro Uranometria de Johann Bayer no 1603.

Mitoloxía

Dado que foi creada no século XVII e fica moi ó sur, non foi coñecida polas culturas clásicas, polo que non ten mitoloxía asociada.
