Hutan Kamyaka

Hutan Kamyaka atau Kamyakawana (Dewanagari: काम्यकवन; ,IAST: Kāmyakavana, काम्यकवन) adalah suatu hutan yang tercatat dalam wiracarita Hindu Mahabharata. Menurut catatan, hutan ini terbentang di pinggiran sungai Saraswati.[1] Para Pandawa dalam kisah Mahabharata melewati masa pengasingan mereka di hutan tersebut.[2]

Dalam kitab Wanaparwa dari salah satu delapan belas kitab Mahabharata, para Pandawa memilih hutan Kamyaka untuk mengasingkan diri setelah kalah bertaruh dalam suatu perjudian dengan para Korawa. Hutan tersebut diceritakan terletak di suatu dataran yang kaya akan aneka satwa dan tumbuhan.[3] Banyak pula petapa yang berkhalwat dan melaksanakan tapa brata pada saat itu. Widura dan Sanjaya juga menyempatkan untuk menjenguk para Pandawa yang mengasingkan diri di hutan Kamyaka. Para Pandawa juga berjumpa Resi Narada dan Markandeya di hutan tersebut.[4]
