Durius ou Durio é a latinização de uma divindade celta venerada pelas tribos célticas da Península Ibérica, especialmente pelos povos celtibéricos estabelecidos ao longo da bacia do rio Douro.
De acordo com a tradição religiosa céltica, que frequentemente atribuía carácter divino aos rios, Durius seria a personificação do próprio rio Douro. Em algumas interpretações modernas, é descrito como uma divindade fluvial associada à fertilidade e à navegação, sendo por vezes representado com elementos ligados à pesca.
Em regiões próximas do atual Porto, têm sido propostos vestígios de um possível santuário associado ao seu culto, embora a evidência arqueológica não seja conclusiva.
Etimologia
O nome deriva frequentemente associado à raiz proto-celta dubro- ou dūr-, relacionada com a ideia de “água” ou “rio”.[1]
