スザンナ・ヨーク（Susannah York、1939年 1月9日 - 2011年 1月15日^[1]）はイギリスの女優。

略歴

ロンドンのチェルシー出身。外国為替引受業者を営む父親Simon William Peel Vickers Fletcherと彼の最初の妻Joan Nita Mary Bowringの間に生まれる。この夫婦は1935年に結婚し、1943年に離婚している^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7]。母方の祖母Walter Andrew Bowringは著名な学者、祖先に香港総督のジョン・バウリングがいる^[8]^[3]^[9]^[10]^[11]。1943年の母親の再婚に伴いスコットランドに移る^[12]^[13]。

学生時代より演劇に目覚め、王立演劇学校で演劇を学んだ^[8] ^[14]^[15]後、1960年に映画Tunes of Gloryでデビューし、アレック・ギネスやジョン・ミルズと競演。数々の作品に出演、1972年の『ロバート・アルトマンのイメージズ』でカンヌ国際映画祭女優賞を受賞した。

舞台にも出演し、1970年代には児童向けファンタジー小説も執筆した^[16]。

2011年1月15日、多発性骨髄腫のため死去。72歳没^[1]^[17]。

1960年にマイケル・ウェルズと結婚し二児をもうけるが、1976年に離婚した。
