Die Liomerinae sind eine Unterfamilie der Rundkrabben.[1]
Merkmale
Liomerinae sind oft leuchtend gefärbt. Der Carapax ist querovaL oder sechseckig und bis zu doppelt so breit wie lang. Der vordere Seitenrand ist unbewaffnet oder stumpf gelappt. Die Länge des dritten und vierten thorakalen Sterniten zusammen ist etwa gleich oder etwas geringer als die Maximalbreite. Die Antennulen falten sich quer. Die Fingerspitzen der Scheren (Chelae) sind am Okklusionsrand ausgehöhlt und löffelartig verbreitert. Sie überkreuzen sich nicht beim Schluss. Die Schreitbeine (P2 bis P5) haben keinen Arretierungsmechanismus zwischen Dactylus und Propodus.[2]

Die Unterfamilie ist vermutlich nicht monophyletisch.[2] Nach derzeitigem Stand (Mai 2026) umfasst sie folgende Gattungen:[1]
