Paraliomera ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit drei rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 154 m im tropischen Westatlantik.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 8 mm lang, glatt und eine regionale Gliederung ist kaum erkennbar. Die Stirn ragt nicht nach vorn über. Die beiden Scherenbeine sind stark asymmetrisch. Die Schreitbeine sind kurz und kräftig und haben wie Neoliomera eine Einrastfunktion zwischen Propodus und Dactylus. Der Merus des letzten Schreitbeins ist weniger als dreimal so lang wie breit.[2]
