George Benson (d. 22 Mart 1943)[3] Amerikalı bir gitarist, şarkıcı ve söz yazarıdır. Profesyonel kariyerine 19 yaşında caz gitaristi olarak başladı. Benson, Django Reinhardt gibi çingene cazı (gypsy jazz) sanatçılarına benzer bir rest-stroke toplama tekniği kullanır.

Eski bir harika çocuk olan Benson ilk olarak 1960'larda Jack McDuff ve diğerleri ile soul jazz çalmıştı. Daha sonra caz, pop, R&B şarkıları ve scat şarkıları arasında geçiş yaparak başarılı bir solo kariyer başlattı. Breezin ' albümü üç platin plak kazandı ve 1976'daki Billboard albüm listesinde 1 numaraya ulaştı.[4] Konserleri 1980'lere çok yoğun ilgi gördü; hala büyük bir takipçi kitlesi vardır.
