Kościół św. Piotra in Montorio (wł. Chiesa di San Pietro in Montorio) − katolicki kościół w Rzymie na Zatybrzu, od 1587 tytularny kościół kardynalski, ustanowiony przez papieża Sykstusa V[2].
Świątynia ta jest kościołem rektoralnym parafii Najświętszej Maryi Panny na Zatybrzu oraz kościołem tytularnym[1].
Kościół San Pietro in Montorio jest kościołem tytularnym amerykańskiego kardynała Jamesa Stafforda.
Kościół znajduje się w XIII Rione Rzymu – Zatybrze (Trastevere) przy Piazza S. Pietro in Montorio 2[1].
Źródła potwierdzają istnienie w IX w. klasztoru na miejscu ukrzyżowania św. Piotra Apostoła (beati Petri quod vocatur ad Ianuculum)[3]. Klasztor znajdował się w rękach kolejno: benedyktynów, celestynów, mnichów ambrozjańskich i mniszek benedyktynek. W XV w. ruiny klasztoru i kościoła zostały ofiarowane przez papieża Sykstusa IV amadeitom. Założyciel amadeitów bł. Amadeusz de Silva był spowiednikiem Sykstusa IV. Fundatorami klasztoru byli Ferdynand Aragoński i Izabela I Kastylijska[4].
Kościół św. Piotra in Montorio jest świątynią jednonawową z dziesięcioma symetrycznie usytuowanymi kaplicami bocznymi, po pięć z każdej strony nawy. Na przylegającym do kościoła wirydarzu znajduje się wolnostojąca kaplica Tempietto Bramantego z 1502[5].
Wnętrze świątyni zdobią dzieła mistrzów szesnasto- i siedemnastowiecznych[6]:
Kościół San Pietro in Montorio jest jednym z kościołów tytularnych nadawanych kardynałom-prezbiterom (Titulus Sancti Petri in Monte Aureo)[7]. Tytuł ten został ustanowiony 13 kwietnia 1587 roku[7].
