西四辻家（にしよつつじけ）は、藤原北家閑院流四辻支流の公家・華族である。公家としての家格は羽林家、華族としての家格は子爵家[1]。

動向

西四辻公業

江戸時代中期の権大納言四辻公亨の子・左兵衛佐西四辻公碩を祖とする。家格は羽林家。家学は箏。江戸時代の石高は御蔵米30石[2]。

幕末から明治維新にかけて、公業は、勤皇派として活動し、戊辰戦争の功を賞せられ永世録200石を授けられる。維新後は会計事務総督、大阪府知事、侍従を歴任し、子爵に叙せられた[3]。大阪府知事としては、教育を重視し大阪府内に120校以上の小学校をつくる方針を決定した。公堯は、小倉家から入り、陸軍軍人の道を歩み、陸軍少将まで累進、貴族院議員も務めた。公利も陸軍に入り、陸軍歩兵大尉で終戦を迎えた。公堯の二男・公順は冷泉家に養子として入り、冷泉為任を名乗る[4]。
