ネパール航空（ネパールこうくう、Nepal Airlines, ネパール語: नेपाल वायुसेवा निगम)）は、ネパールで唯一の国営航空会社。また同国のフラッグ・キャリアである。本拠地はカトマンズ。2013年現在、ネパール国内外24都市に就航。

概要

ネパール航空は、1958年7月にロイヤル・ネパール航空(Royal Nepal Airlines)として設立され、DC-3型機を使用して当初はスマラ、ポカラ、ビドゥナガルなどの国内線と、国際線としてインドのデリー、コルカタ、パトナに就航していた。1970年代にはデ・ハビランド・カナダDHC-6ツインオッターやピラタスPC-6といった山岳地に適応した機材を導入し、山間部への国内線に就航させた。 カトマンズ空港の滑走路延長に伴い、アブロ748、ボーイング727、後にボーイング757を導入した。

2006年、当時のギャネンドラ国王の独裁に反発した民主化運動「ロクタントラ・アンドラン」の発生に伴い、社名から「ロイヤル（王国の、王の）」が外され、現在の社名に変更となった（その後ネパールは、2008年に共和制に移行した）。

2009年のドバイ航空ショーでエアバス社との間でA320とA330を発注することに合意し、A330は東アジア・ヨーロッパ路線に、A320は中東・南アジア路線に投入する計画を発表した。

2013年以降、ネパールの全ての航空会社は、安全性の問題から欧州連合（EU）域内への乗り入れを禁止されているため、ヨーロッパへの全便の運航停止を余儀なくされている。

2019年8月に大阪/関西 - カトマンズ線を開設したが、成田線の就航計画に伴い2020年2月をもって関空線を運休。同年3月より東京/成田 - カトマンズ線を就航させた。
