タルクィニオ・プロヴィーニ (Tarquinio Provini 、1933年5月29日 - 2005年1月6日) は、イタリアのオートバイレースの世界チャンピオンである。マン島TTレースで4回優勝、イタリア・ナショナルチャンピオンシップスで13回優勝した。プラモデルメーカー 「プロター」創業者。

経歴

エミリア＝ロマーニャ州のカデーオにガレージの所有者の息子として生まれ、エンジンや機械に囲まれて成長した。10歳からオートバイに乗り始めた。1949年には彼はレースに出場するには若すぎたので叔父の名前でレースに出場を始めた。1954年、イタリアのMotogiroで優勝した。同年の半ばにはグランプリに出場して年末のスペイングランプリでは優勝した。1957年にはイタリアのモンディアルから125ccクラスで国際モーターサイクリズム連盟の主催するレースに出場し優勝。1958年にはMVアグスタから250ccクラスに出場して優勝した。

1966年にはマン島TTレースで深刻な事故を起こし背中を損傷した。そのため彼は怪我による麻痺に苦しみ車椅子を使用した。彼はめげることなく、ボローニャの近郊でオートバイやレーシングカーのスケールモデルを生産する『プロター』を設立した[1]。

2005年、ボローニャで死去、71歳だった[2]。
