アンドロメダ座ι星（アンドロメダざイオタせい、ι Andromedae、ι And）は、アンドロメダ座の恒星である。見かけの等級は4.29で、地球からはおよそ500光年離れた位置にある^[1]^[3]。

特徴

アンドロメダ座ι星は、B型主系列星で、スペクトル型はB8 Vと分類される^[1]。物理量は、このスペクトル型の恒星としては割と典型的なもので、アンドロメダ座ι星を二次的な分光標準星に採用した天文学者もいる^[9]。ただし、19世紀にアンドロメダ座ι星は、新しい変光星として報告され、変光星の候補として変光星総合カタログにも収録され、ヒッパルコス衛星の観測中にも光度変化が検出されている^[10]^[11]。

名称

17世紀エジプトのMohammad Al Achsai Al Mouakketが著した天文暦にみられる恒星の中で、アンドロメダ座ι星は"Keff al Salsalat"という名前であったとされ、これはラテン語訳すると"Manus Catenata"（「鎖につながれた手」というような意味）となる^[12]。
