O Premio Princesa de Asturias de Investigación Científica e Técnica (até 2014, se denominou Premio Príncipe de Asturias de Investigación Científica e Técnica) é concedido desde 1981, á persoa, persoas, equipo de traballo ou institución cuxos descubrimentos ou labor de investigación representen unha contribución relevante para o progreso da Humanidade nos campos das Matemáticas, Física, Química, Bioloxía, Medicina, Ciencias da Terra e do Espazo, así coma técnicas e tecnoloxías relacionadas con elas.
