Andrew Christian Wiggins, nado o 23 de febreiro de 1995 en Toronto, Ontario, é un xogador canadense de baloncesto profesional que xoga nos Golden State Warriors da National Basketball Association (NBA). Na súa primeira temporada na NBA foille outorgado o premio ao Rookie do Ano.

Traxectoria profesional

Wiggins declarouse elixible para o Draft da NBA de 2014 o 31 de marzo dese mesmo ano.[1] O 26 de xuño de 2014, foi seleccionado na primeira posición do Draft polos Cleveland Cavaliers, converténdose no segundo canadense da historia en ser elixido de primeiro no Draft, despois de Anthony Bennett en 2013. O 24 de xullo de 2014, asinou o seu contrato de rookie cos Cavaliers.[2]

O 23 de agosto de 2014, completouse un traspaso a tres bandas entre os Cavaliers, os Minnesota Timberwolves e os Philadelphia 76ers. Como parte do acordo, Wiggins e o seu compañeiro Anthony Bennett foron traspasados ós Timberwolves, xunto a Thaddeus Young, antes nos Sixers. Os Cavaliers recibiron a Kevin Love de Minnesota, mentres que os Sixers recibiron a Luc Mbah a Moute e a Alexey Shved de Minnesota, e unha elección da primeira rolda do Draft de 2015 dos Cavaliers.[3]

O 29 de outubro de 2014, Wiggins fixo o seu debut na NBA no primeiro partido da tempada para os Timberwolves, contra os Memphis Grizzlies. En 18 minutos de xogo, saíndo de titular, fixo 6 puntos, 3 rebotes, 2 roubos e 1 asistencia na derrota de Minnesota por 101-105.[4] Foi elixido o mellor rookie do mes da Conferencia Oeste polas súas actuacións nos meses de outubro de novembro de 2014.[5]

O 6 de febreiro de 2020, Wiggins foi traspasado xunto a dúas eleccións do Draft ós Golden State Warriors, a cambio de Jacob Evans III, D'Angelo Russell e Omari Spellman.[6]
