Arbre généalogique de la XXVIe dynastie égyptienne

La XXVIe dynastie, originaire de Saïs, règne tout d'abord sur une portion du Delta du Nil de 680 à 664 av. J.-C., puis de 664 à 526 av. J.-C. sur l'Égypte entière enfin réunifiée.

Il est possible que cette dynastie descende de la XXIVe dynastie elle aussi saïte, représentée par le roi Bakenranef et son père Tefnakht Ier .

Pour clore cette dynastie et le présent arbre afférent, Ahmôsis II / Amasis et son fils et successeur Psammétique III auraient presque pu se prévaloir ou / et être assimilés à une XXVIIe dynastie subséquente, quantième finalement attribué à une dynastie persane conquérante et occupante, voire à une XXVIe bis, du fait que ces deux-là ne semblent pas avoir présenté de lien de parenté avec leurs immédiats prédécesseurs au trône mais que le militaire Amasis avait d'abord servi le pharaon Apriès avant de le renverser du pouvoir. Toutefois, malgré le renversement du roi Apriès, Amasis s'est considéré comme l'héritier de la famille de ce dernier, cela se remarque par les prénoms de deux de ses enfants : Psammétique, son succésseur, et Nitocris, héritière d'Ânkhnesnéferibrê en tant que divine adoratrice d'Amon.
