Matti Miikki

Matti Nikolai Miikki (30. joulukuuta 1889 Ruokolahti – 9. heinäkuuta 1960 Imatra) oli suomalainen maanviljelijä, kunnallisneuvos ja Maalaisliiton kansanedustaja ja ministeri.

Miikin vanhemmat olivat talollinen Matti Heikinpoika Miikki ja Katri Mälkiä. Hän kävi kansakoulun ja toimi sitten maanviljelijänä ensin Ruokolahdella vuoteen 1948 saakka ja sitten Imatralla vuosina 1948–1960. Miikki teki opintomatkat Norjaan 1939 ja Puolaan 1956.

Miikki oli Maalaisliiton kansanedustajana vuosina 1930–1960 edustaen Viipurin läänin itäistä vaalipiiriä 1930–1945, Kymen läänin itäistä vaalipiiriä 1945–1948 ja Kymen läänin vaalipiiriä 1948–1960. Hän kuului myös valtiontilintarkastajiin ja oli toisena valtiovarainministerinä Kekkosen III hallituksessa 1951–1953. Miikki kuoli kesken vaalikauden ja hänen tilalleen eduskuntaan tuli Mikko Kaarna.

Miikki toimi presidentin valitsijamiehenä vuoden 1950 presidentinvaaleissa ja oli mukana kunnallispolitiikassa Imatran kauppalanvaltuuston jäsenenä ja Ruokolahden kunnanvaltuuston puheenjohtajana sekä kunnallislautakunnan esimiehenä ja rahastonhoitajana. Miikki sai kunnallisneuvoksen arvonimen vuonna 1954. Miikki oli myös muun muassa Maalaisliiton Karjalan piirin puheenjohtajana 1945–1960 ja puolueen Etelä-Karjalan piiritoimikunnan jäsenenä ja rahastonhoitajana.

Miikki oli naimisissa vuodesta 1912 Miina Joutosen kanssa. He saivat kuusi lasta. lähde?
