Anton Lilius

Anton Lilius (16. kesäkuuta 1822 Vesilahti – 4. joulukuuta 1893 Saarijärvi) oli suomalainen Lilius-sukuun kuulunut pappi ja valtiopäivämies.[1]

Liliuksen vanhemmat olivat varatuomari Anton Gabriel Lilius ja Maria Katarina Cajalén. Hän valmistui papiksi 1844 ja toimi ensin apulaisena useissa eri seurakunnissa, kunnes tuli kappalaiseksi Hattulaan 1858 ja Saarijärvelle 1867. Lilius toimi pappissäädyssä edustajana valtiopäivillä 1872, 1877, 1882 ja 1885. Ensin mainittuna vuonna hän teki onnistuneen esityksen samanlaisen perintö- ja naimaosuuden myöntämisestä niin naiselle kuin miehellekin. Lilius julkaisi 1851-1855 kuukausilehteä Kristillinen Huvittaja eli Totiseen Jumalisuuteen kehoittavia kirjoituksia ja kertoelmia. Hän myös suomensi Hübnerin teoksen Bibliallinen historia (1850) sekä Martin Lutherin Huonepostillan (1878).[1]

Liliuksen puoliso vuodesta 1848 oli Amanda Sofia Perdén (k. 1924). Kansanperinteen kerääjä Lilli Rainio (1861–1945) ja lääkäri, lähetystyöntekijä Selma Rainio (1873-1939) olivat heidän tyttäriään.[1][2]
