San Roman edo Besangiz Muxika udalerriko auzoa da. 2008ko urtarrilaren 1eko erroldaren arabera, 276 biztanle ditu.

Izena

Euskaltzaindiaren EODA datubaseak San Roman besterik ez du ematen auzoaren izentzat[1], baina Besangiz forma ere erabiltzen da, Besangiz Goikoa eta Besangiz Behekoa bereiztuz batzuetan[2]. San Roman baseliza beheragoko zatian dagoenez, Behekoa parte hori soilik izenda dezake San Romanek segun eta ze ikuspegi. Errepide mapa batzuetan Besagiz agertzen da[3], Bezangiz errekaren aipua ere bada Muxikako mapa toponimikoan[4], eta bertakoek Besaiz esaten dutela ere egia da[5].

Deskribapena eta ondarea

Muxikako Ugarte eta Kurtzero auzoen hegoaldera dago San Roman, errepidez batetik mendebaldetik iristen zara, besterik ekialdetik. Hegoaldera, Bezangiz errekak bereizten du Txakala eta Zabala auzoetatik. Mendebalde-ekialde ardatzean maldan behera egiten duen bide batean daude San Romango baserriak, goialdean Urkietako Artea nabarmentzen da, aparteko zuhaitz katalogatua, eta behealdean San Roman baseliza eta Muxika dorretxea. Behekalde horretan parke bat ere badago.

Muxikako dorretxea

Sakontzeko, irakurri: «Muxikako dorretxea»

Muxikako dorretxea etxebizitza izan da 20. mendera arte. Pentsatzekoa da armarri bat izango zuela jauregi honek, baina orain ez dago han, gertu dagoen Torrebarri baserrian baizik. Armarriko irudiak dira, lau kantoitan, hiru giltza, bihotza aiztoak sastakatua, otsoa ilargipean eta gurutze tenplarioa. Armarri horren iruditeria da egungo Muxika udalerriaren irudia. Idazkuna ere badu armarriak[6]:

« no pvedo : como : merzco : y merco mas : qve pvuedo »

(ezin dut merezi dudana eduki, baina daukadana merezia dut)

San Roman baseliza

Sakontzeko, irakurri: «San Roman baseliza»

XIV. mendeko baseliza hau ondate babestu bezala dago izendatua, eta auzoko jaien gunea da (abuztuaren 1ean). Jolasparke baten ondoan dago.

1970eko hamarkadaren amaieran, San Roman jaietako gaueko erromerian Indar Trabes Mutrikuko rock taldeak jotzeko ohitura hartu zuen. Itoiz bilakatu zen talde hura gero, eta Itoiz bizi izan zen artean San Romango jaietan jo zuten beti, ohitura bilakatuta[7][5].
