Rhizodontida Tetrapodomorpha barruko animalia talde iraungi bat da[1]. Givetiarretik Pennsylvaniarrera arte bizi ziren, orain dela 377 milioi urtetik 310 milioi urte bitarte. Ibai tropikaletan bizi ziren, eta ur gezako lakuetan, non harrapakari nagusiak ziren euren garaian. Tamaina erraldoia lortu zuten, handiena Rhizodus hibberti izan zen, 7 metro arteko luzera zuena.
