Η Λαϊκή Αντιπολίτευση ήταν εκλογικός συνασπισμός που συγκροτήθηκε ενόψει των εκλογών του 1990.

Ιστορικό

Η Λαϊκή Αντιπολίτευση ιδρύθηκε με πρωτοβουλία του Ν.Α.Ρ., της οργάνωσης που συγκρότησαν τον Ιανουάριο του 1990 μετά τη διάσπαση της Κ.Ν.Ε. το Σεπτέμβριο του 1989, οι δυνάμεις που ήρθαν σε ρήξη με το Κ.Κ.Ε. και στελέχη του που συντάχθηκαν με την πλειοψηφία του Κεντρικού Συμβουλίου της Κ.Ν.Ε. Στο μετωπικό σχήμα της Λαϊκής Αντιπολίτευσης συμμετείχαν το Εργατικό Επαναστατικό Κόμμα και ανένταχτοι της Αριστεράς[1].

Η Λαϊκή Αντιπολίτευση εκπροσωπούσε μια αγωνιστική γραμμή σύγκρουσης με το νεοφιλελευθερισμό που εκπροσωπούσε η Ν.Δ. υπό τον Κωνσταντίνο Μητσοτάκη, είχε αναφορά στο σοσιαλισμό και τον κομμουνισμό ασκώντας κριτική στον υπαρκτό σοσιαλισμό. Ήταν αντίθετη με τη συμμετοχή της Ελλάδας στην ΕΟΚ. Με αυτό το πλαίσιο ήταν αντίθετη με τη λογική της συναίνεσης που κυριαρχούσε το 1990 στην Αριστερά και ειδικότερα στο Συνασπισμό της Αριστεράς και της Προόδου, και τη βασική δύναμή του, το Κ.Κ.Ε.[2]

Τελικά στις εκλογές, η Λαϊκή Αντιπολίτευση πήρε 14.365 ψήφους και 0,22%.
