Shagihilu ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Kishapu in der tansanischen Region Shinyanga.

Geografie

Shagihilu ist ein ländlicher Bezirk in der Seezone im Nordwesten von Tansania. Der Bezirk liegt rund 60 Kilometer Luftlinie östlich der Regionshauptstadt Shinyanga.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 6605 Menschen in 1076 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 98 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt an vier Bezirke des Distrikts Kishapu:[5]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Im Bezirk gibt es eine weiterführende Schule.[7] Die Mangu Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule mit einer Ausbildung bis zur 4. Stufe.[8]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: In den Gemeinden Shagihilu[9] und Mangu[10] liegt je eine staatliche Apotheke.
  • Gebäude: Von den 1129 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 78 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco und 439 Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. 229 Gebäude haben einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[11]
