Mambwe Nkoswe (auch Mwembenkoswe) ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Kalambo in der tansanischen Region Rukwa.

Geografie

Mambwe Nkoswe ist ein ländlicher Bezirk im Westen des südlichen Hochlands von Tansania, er liegt etwa 120 Kilometer Luftlinie südsüdöstlich der Regionshauptstadt Sumbawanga an der Grenze zu Sambia.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 13.767 Menschen in 3035 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 334 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Süden an Sambia, im Osten an den Distrikt Momba und sonst an zwei Bezirke des Distrikts Kalambo:[5]

Wirtschaft und Infrastruktur

  • Landwirtschaft: Im Bezirk werden 4000 Rinder, 1900 Ziegen und 5800 Hühner gehalten (Stand 2016).[7]
  • Bildung: In der Gemeinde Kalembe gibt es eine staatliche Apotheke.[8]
