Die nasionale vlag van die Bahamas is op 10 Julie 1973 amptelik in gebruik geneem. Die vlag vertoon ’n swart driehoek aan die vlagpaalkant met drie ewe wye horisontale bane in (van bo na onder) turkoois, geel en turkoois op die wapperkant.

Simboliek

Die (swart) driehoek simboliseer die eenheid van die mense van die Bahamas in hul vasberadenheid om die hulpbronne van land en see te ontwikkel.[1] Die kleur van die driehoek verteenwoordig die 300 000 inwoners van die Bahamas wat veral van Afrika afkomstig is.[2]

Ontwerp

Die swart driehoek neem die totale wydte van die vlag in en dit is ’n gelyksydige driehoek.[1]
