Sir Carol Reed (30 Desember 1906 – 25 April 1976) adalah seorang sutradara dan produser film Inggris, yang terkenal karena Odd Man Out (1947), The Fallen Idol (1948), The Third Man (1949), dan Oliver! (1968),^[1] yang membuatnya dianugerahi Academy Award untuk Sutradara Terbaik.

Odd Man Out adalah penerima pertama dari BAFTA Award untuk Film Inggris Terbaik. The Fallen Idol memenangkan Penghargaan BAFTA kedua untuk Film Inggris Terbaik. British Film Institute memilih The Third Man sebagai film Inggris terhebat abad ke-20.

It covered three years in the late '40s when he made Odd Man Out, The Fallen Idol and The Third Man. These three films alone put him in the forefront of British directors of the period, and the last-named, his second collaboration with Graham Greene, is probably the best film noir ever made out of Britain.
