Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa atau dalam Bahasa Inggris disebut United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) merupakan sumber utama informasi tentang sistem Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB) di negara di mana pusat informasi tersebut berada. Di seluruh dunia, terdapat 63 Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa yang berupaya menyediakan informasi bagi masyarakat umum dalam bahasa-bahasa lokal.[1] Selain itu, pusat-pusat informasi ini juga berhubungan dengan institusi pendidikan dan media setempat, juga membangun kemitraan dengan pemerintah, lembaga swadaya masyarakat dan sektor swasta dalam berbagai isu yang berhubungan dengan cakupan kinerja PBB.

Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa merupakan bagian dari Departemen Informasi Publik PBB, dan beroperasi di berbagai belahan dunia.

Cakupan Kerja

Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa bertugas untuk mendiseminasikan informasi mengenai kinerja PBB di negara setempat maupun secara global. Bagian dari cakupan kerja ini adalah sebagai berikut:[2]

  • Strategi Komunikasi

Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa membangun dan mengimplementasikan strategi komunikasi bersama dengan Badan-Badan PBB dan mitra PBB setempat, untuk mempublikasikan isu-isu prioritas dan kegiatan lainnya. Pusat-pusat informasi ini mengadaptasikan berbagai pesan PBB dalam konteks lokal melalui produk-produk informasi yang ditujukan kepada masyarakat setempat menggunakan bahasa yang fasih digunakan.

  • Media Outreach

Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa mengorganisasi kontak dengan media nasional dan regional, mendiseminasikan informasi latar belakang, materi-materi media dan artikel editorial. Dalam hal ini pusat-pusat informasi tersebut juga mengatur kesempatan wawancara maupun mengadakan konferensi pers.

  • Produk-Produk Informasi

Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa memproduksi berbagai atribut informasi seperti perpustakaan dengan koleksi buku dan laporan, buletin, video, situs web, dan berbagai fasilitas lainnya. Pusat-pusat informasi ini secara reguler memberikan informasi melalui seminar, pameran, pelatihan jurnalis serta berkontribusi pada kegiatan diskusi di dalam koran, radio, televisi maupun media sosial.

  • Hari Peringatan dan Perayaan

Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa memiliki serangkaian hari-hari penting yang diperingati maupun dirayakan setiap tahunnya. Pusat Informasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa membantu organisasi peringatan dan perayaan ini dalam berbagai bentuk seminar, pelatihan, program pendidikan, kegiatan budaya dan lainnya, yang mengikutsertakan pemangkukepentingan setempat.
