联邦公开市场委员会

聯邦公開市場委員會（英語：Federal Open Market Committee，簡稱：FOMC）屬於美國聯邦準備系統，負責進行公開市場操作[1]。公開市場委員會（FOMC）由12名委员组成，7名聯邦準備理事會（FRB）成員都是委員，紐約聯邦儲備銀行負責執行公開市場操作 ，因此其行長也是委員。以上共計8個席位，另外4個席位則由其餘11家聯邦準備銀行的行長每年輪流擔任，分别從每組選出一個席位：波士頓、費城和里奇蒙；克利夫蘭和芝加哥；亞特蘭大、聖路易斯和達拉斯；明尼蘇達、堪薩斯城和舊金山。公開市場委員會由於決議和執行公開市場操作，是聯準會體系中最重要的部門，每年八次聚首華盛頓會議，平均每六週一次。在這些會議上，委員會審查經濟和金融狀況，確定適當的貨幣政策立場，並評估其長期目標價格穩定和可持續經濟增長的風險。
