1973年臺北市議會議員選舉，即臺北市第二屆市議員選舉，於1973年12月1日舉行投票，選出臺北市議會的49席議員。其中，中國國民黨提名的45位候選人全數當選，無黨籍者則有4人當選。

本次選舉的法源依據為1973年8月修正公布之《臺北市議會組織規程》、《臺北市公職人員選舉罷免規程》及《臺北市妨害選舉罷免取締辦法》，由臺北市政府民政局依《臺北市公職人員選舉罷免規程》設立選舉事務所辦理。

選務事項

選務革新

  • 考量都市工商行號多於上午8時上班開工，為鼓勵投票，將投票開始時間從上午8時提前至上午7時30分。
  • 為避免投票人名冊造冊錯誤，投票人名冊不僅在各里辦公處公告供民眾自由閱覽，亦由各區公所及各戶政事務所按戶送往住戶核閱。
  • 公辦政見發表會的場次相較於上次市議員選舉的34場，大幅增加至76場。
  • 遴選1,200位大學生擔任投開票所監察員。
  • 創設選務聯繫速報系統，投開票當日使用電話和警察廣播電臺速報開票結果與傳達重要事項。

  • 1973年10月2日：成立選舉事務所，舉行第一次選舉委員會議
  • 1973年10月27日～11月5日：受理候選人登記之申請
  • 1973年11月16日：候選人抽籤及座談會、編印製選舉公報
  • 1973年11月16日～11月20日：陳列投票人名冊並挨戶送閱
  • 1973年11月21日：公告候選人及助選員名單
  • 1973年11月27日：公告各選舉區公民人數
  • 1973年12月1日：投票（上午7時30分至下午5時）、開票
  • 1973年12月13日：公告當選人名單
  • 1974年1月31日：裁撤選舉事務所

  • 魏益民於1973年11月15日撤回登記。
  • 該選舉區為同額競選，依照《臺北市公職人員選舉罷免規程》第52條規定：「選舉候選人數未超過或不足各該選舉區應選出之名額時，……市議員之選舉，應以所得票數超過該選舉區應選名額，除該選舉區公民總數所得商數之五分之一者為當選。……」，即當選標準票數為3,883票[1]:91。
  • 其中應有婦女當選名額1名，高惠子得票數雖未達當選標準票數，仍以婦女保障名額當選。
