Західні Балкани — це найменування, яке використовується зокрема пресою,[1][2][3] та різними міжнародними організаціями, такими як Європейський Союз,[4][5] ООН[6] та її спеціалізовані установи, НАТО[7] для визначення[8] регіону Європи, який загалом включає Хорватію, Боснію та Герцеговину, Албанію[9], Косово, Північну Македонію, Чорногорію та Сербію, що відповідає країнам колишньої Югославії загалом без Словенії, але з Албанією.
