Aşlama

Aşlama Adana yöresine özgü meyan kökünden yapılan bir içecek türüdür. Adana Aşlama, meyan (Glycyrrhiza glabra) bitkisinin kökünün dövülerek terbiye edilmiş lifli halinin içme suyu ve buz ile birlikte soğuk olarak demlenip süzülmesi ile elde edilen ve buzlu su ile seyreltilerek servis edilen içecektir. Adana Aşlamada herhangi bir katkı maddesi kullanılmaz. Adana Aşlamacıları ürünü satarken geleneksel bir kıyafet giyer ve özel tasarlanmış servis takımı kullanırlar. Bu servis takımda aşlamacının sırtına astığı aşlama güğümü, beline bağlı bardaklık, bir elinde bardak yıkama için kullandığı su dolu ibrik ve diğer elinde birbirine vurarak ses çıkarıp çevreye aşlamacı geldiğini haber vermek için kullanılan 2 pirinç tas bulunur. 150 yıldan fazla süredir bölgede meyan yetiştiği için Adana'da geleneksel olarak aşlama yapılır.

Adana Aşlama Türk Patent ve Marka Kurumu tarafından tescillenmiş ve coğrafi işaret almıştır.[1][2]
