İntihar notu

İntihar notu, bir insanın intihar etmeden veya intihara teşebbüs etmeden önce bıraktığı yazılı, sesli veya görüntülü nottur. Bu notlar, doğal olmayan ölüm dolayısıyla başlatılan adli soruşturma süreçlerinde önemli birer delil niteliği taşır.[1]

İntihar notlarında, müntehirlerin dil ve kültüründen bağımsız olarak, kendi yaşamını sonlandırma düşüncesi dolayısıyla birtakım ortak özellikler görülür.[1] Bu notlar bilimsel olarak; psikiyatri, psikoloji veya dilbilim gibi farklı alanlar odağında çalışılmaktadır.

İntiharlarda not bırakma oranı etnik köken ve kültürel farklılıklara bağlı olarak değişkenlik göstermektedir. Bazı toplumlarda intihar notu yazma oranı %50'ye kadar çıkmaktadır.[2][3] Genellikle hitap, açıklama, talep ve veda bölümlerinden oluşan[1] intihar notları herhangi bir biçimde veya ortamda bulunabilir ancak en sık kullanılan yöntemler yazılı not, sesli mesaj ve videodur. Bunlar bir yere bırakılmış, belirli kişilere gönderilmiş veya internet ortamında da yayımlanmış olabilir.[3]

Not bırakma nedenleri

İntihar notu yazmanın başlıca sebepleri şunlardır:[1][4]

  • Özür dilemek ve yakınlarının suçluluk duygusunu veya acısını hafifletmek
  • Suçlamalarla hayatta kalanların acısını artırmak
  • İntiharının nedenlerini açıklamak
  • Diğer duygu ve düşünceleri ifade etmek
  • Vasiyetini bildirmek
  • Veda etmek
  • Suçunu veya suçlarını itiraf etmek[5][6][7]
