Warren Mercer Oates (5. jul 1928 – 3. april 1982) bio je američki glumac, najpoznatiji nizu epizodnih, ali upečatljivih uloga među kojima se ističu one u filmovima Sama Peckinpaha. Oates, koji je karijeru bio započeo u vestern televizijskim serijama, se specijalizirao za uloge grubijana, "tvrdih momaka" i ličnosti od autoriteta, a 1970-ih je igrao glavne uloge u nekoliko zapaženih ostvarenja. Umro je od srčanog udara; nekoliko filmova u kome je bio nastupao je premijerno prikazano godinu dana nakon njegove smrti. Danas se smatra jednim od najboljih karakternih glumaca svog doba.
