Ich sponsorem tytularnym była skandynawska grupa budownictwa mieszkaniowego OBOS, w związku z czym obowiązywała nazwa marketingowa OBOS-ligaen. Rozgrywki toczyły się w jednej grupie i brało w niej udział 16 drużyn, grających systemem kołowym. Rozgrywki rozpoczęły się 2 kwietnia 2018, a zakończyły 11 listopada 2018; ponadto w dniach 25 listopada – 9 grudnia 2018 rozegrano mecze barażowe o awans do Eliteserien.
