Sølvkarpe (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) er en ferskvannsfisk i karpefamilien.

Den blir opptil én meter lang og 27 kg tung. Munnen er bred og underbitt. Øynene er plassert under midten av kroppssida. Skjellene er små. Unge fisker skinner som sølv, mens de voksne er ensfarget grå. Føden består av plankton som den siler ut av vannet ved hjelp av utvekster på gjellebuene.

Arten er en stimfisk som lever i elver og innsjøer. Den kommer opprinnelig fra Kina, Mongolia og Russlands fjerne østen der den er utbredt fra Amur sørover til Perlefloden. I hjemlandet skjer gytingen når vanntemperaturen kommer opp i 23–24 °C. Hver hunnfisk slipper omtrent 500 000 egg ut i vannet der de flyter omkring.

Sølvkarpe og slektningen marmorkarpe ble innført til Europa på 1960-tallet fordi man trodde at artene kunne redusere algeoppblomstringer i eutrofe innsjøer. Klimaet i Europa er for kaldt til at sølvkarpe kan formere seg.

Disse artene ble også innført til USA på 1970-tallet for å bekjempe algeoppblomstringer i oppdrettsanlegg. De har etablert seg med store bestander i mange vassdrag og betraktes som skadelige invaderende arter. Sølvkarpe hopper opp av vannet når den blir skremt, og fiskere og personer i båt har blitt skadet etter å ha blitt truffet. Sølvkarpe finnes nå i Mississippi, Ohio og Missouri. En frykter at arten skal spre seg til De store sjøer.
