Šiaurės dvikovė.

Šiaurės dvikovė (angl. Nordic combined) – žiemos sporto šaka, priklauso olimpinėms sporto šakoms.

Ši sporto šaka susideda iš dviejų rungčių – šuolių su slidėmis bei slidinėjimo kroso. Iš pradžių sportininkai atlieka šuolį su slidėmis nuo tramplino, o vėliau čiuožia su slidėmis. Sportininkai startuoja handikapo principu (iš pradžių startuoja daugiausia balų iš šuolių gavęs sportininkas, o už jo – mažiau taškų gavę, nes taškų skirtumas verčiamas sekundžių intervalu). Šis metodas yra vadinamas Gunderseno metodu (pagal norvegų sportininką Gunderį Gunderseną). Metodas imtas naudoti apie 1980 metus, o olimpinėse žaidynėse – 1988 metais.

Taip pat egzistuoja ir kitokios varžybų formos -

  • sprintas (vienas šuolis ir 7,5 km atstumas čiuožti)
  • komandinės estafetės (4 komandoje: kiekvienam – 2 šuoliai ir 7,5 km atstumas čiuožti)

Lietuvoje

Šiaurės dvikovės varžybos Lietuvoje buvo organizuojamos nuo 1940 m. ir baigtos organizuoti dar 1976 m.[1] Šiuo metu šalyje nėra tramplinų, skirtų šuoliams su slidėmis, todėl nevyksta ir šiaurės dvikovės varžybų.
