핑둥현(중국어: 屏東縣, 병음: Píngdōng Xiàn, 한자음: 병동현)은 대만의 현이다. 현 정부 소재지는 핑둥시이다. 대만 최남단의 곶인 어롼비가 현내에 있다.

역사

정성공이 대만을 지배하고 있었던 시기에, 핑둥은 아후사(阿猴社)로 불리며 만년현의 관할하에 놓여져 있었다. 정성공은 둔전 정책을 추진해, 낭교(瑯嶠, 현재의 헝춘진)에 취락을 형성하고 있었다.

청나라의 강희 연간이 되면서 아후는 봉산현(鳳山縣) 관할에 놓여졌다. 청말이 되면서 일본의 대만 출병으로 청에서도 대만의 해안 방비를 중시하게 되어, 심보정을 낭교에 파견해, 해안 방비 정책의 구체화를 추진했다. 그리고 대만 최남단에 항춘현을 설치했다. 현재의 현 북부는 봉산현, 현 남부는 항춘현의 관할이 되었다.

1885년에 일본령이 된 핑둥현은 타이난현의 관할이 되었고 호잔, 고슌 지청을 두었다. 그 후 1897년에 호잔현을 설치하였다가 1899년에 다시 다이난현 관할로 복귀시키는 등의 행정 개편이 계속되었다.

그 후 1909년에 아사루청(阿猴庁)을 합병했고, 1920년에 다카오주 관할이 되어, 현재의 핑둥현 지역에는 헤이토(屏東), 조슈(潮州), 도코(東港), 고슌(恒春)의 4군이 설치되었다. 또한 헤이토군은 1933년에 헤이토시로 승격하였다.

1945년에 일본의 통치가 끝나면서 핑둥시를 직할시로 승격시켰고, 아울러 지방 자치의 실시와 함께 독립한 핑둥현이 설치되어 현재에 이르고 있다.
