ჩინური კვარტალი

ჩინური კვარტალი ან ჩაინათაუნი (ჩინ.: 唐人街; ფინინი: Tángrénjiē) — ჩინელი ხალხის ეთნიკური ანკლავის სახელწოდება, მდებარეობს ჩინეთის საზღვრებს გარეთ, უმეტესად ქალაქის შიდა ტერიტორიაზე. ჩინური კვარტლის ან ჩაინათაუნის სახელით ცნობილი ტერიტორიები გვხვდება მთელ მსოფლიოში, მათ შორის ევროპაში, აზიაში, აფრიკაში, ოკეანეთსა და ამერიკაში.

ჩინური კვარტლების დაარსება, როგორც წესი გამოწვეული იყო ჩინელების მზარდი მიგრაციით და რაიონში მათი რაოდენობის ზრდით. 1594 წელს, ბინონდო, მანილაში დაარსებული ჩინური კვარტალი, დღეს მსოფლიოში უძველეს ჩინურ კვარტლად არის აღიარებული. აზიის ფარგლებს გარეთ, უძველესი კვარტლები გვხვდება ამერიკის შეერთებულ შტატებსა და მელბურნში, ავსტრალიაში, დაარსებული 1850-იან წლებში, კალიფორნიისა და ვიქტორიას ოქროს ციებ-ცხელების პერიოდში. 2001 წლის 11 სექტემბრის ტერორისტული თავდასხმების შემდეგ, ახალი კვარტლები დაარსდა მონტვილში, კონექტიკუტში.[1]
