Papirus 28 (bahasa Inggris: Papyrus 28; dalam penomoran Gregory-Aland diberi kode 28, atau P. Oxy. 1596) adalah sebuah naskah papirus kuno berisi bagian Perjanjian Baru dari Alkitab Kristen dalam bahasa Yunani. Memuat potongan kitab Injil Yohanes, yang terlestarikan hanya pasal 6:8-12, 17-22. Berdasarkan paleografi diperkirakan naskah ini dibuat pada awal abad ke-3.[1]

Pemerian

Tulisan berukuran sedang dengan gaya semi-uncial.[2] Terdiri dari satu lembar, berisi 12 baris per halaman (aslinya 25 baris).[2] Menggunakan nomina sacra, tetapi tidak lengkap. Gaya tulisan tangan sangat mirip dengan P. Oxy. 1358. Semula berukuran 13 cm kali 20 cm.[1]

Teks

Naskah Yunani ini tergolong jenis Teks Alexandria (lebih ke proto-Alexandrian). Aland menggambarkannya sebagai teks normal dan menempatkannya dalam Kategori I.[3] Naskah ini menunjukkan kesesuaian yang terdekat dengan 𝔓75 (pada 7 dari 10 varian).[1] Menurut Grenfell dan Hunt, lebih dekat kepada Vaticanus daripada Sinaiticus. Hanya pada satu kasus mendukung Codex Alexandrinus daripada Sinaiticus dan Vaticanus (Yohanes 6:11).[2] Grenfell dan Hunt mencatat bahwa naskah ini tidak "dieja dengan benar".

  • Pada Yohanes 6:10 tertulis πεντακισ]χιλειοι, ελεβεν bukannya ελαβεν,
  • Pada Yohanes 6:19 ενγυς bukannya εγγυς
  • Pada Yohanes 6:20 φοβεισθαι bukannya φοβεισθε
  • Pada Yohanes 6:22 ιδεν bukannya ειδεν.[4]

Naskah ini ditemukan bersama-sama dengan dokumen-dokumen abad ke-3/ke-4.[2]

Lokasi

Saat ini disimpan pada Pacific School of Religion (Pap. 2) di Berkeley.[3][5]
